What does party hosting involve, and what do I need to arrange separately?
I offer professional assistance for your party hosting needs, ensuring your event runs smoothly and allowing you to enjoy the occasion.
The service include greeting your guests, managing the schedule, serving food and drinks, and handling any unexpected issues that arise, so you can focus on mingling and enjoying your time with your guests.
Please note that you are responsible for the hiring of any cutlery, marquees, tables, glasses, food, and other event-related equipment. An Extra Pair Of Hands does not provide these items, and it’s crucial to arrange them in advance to ensure a seamless experience. Simply let me know the details of your event, and me and my team will be there to assist with every other aspect of your party.
When do you start hostessing for a party and when do you advise you finish?
I strive to make your event run as smooth and enjoyable as possible. To achieve this, I like to arrive between 30-60 minutes before you expect any guests. This allows me to set up essential areas such as the bar and food table, understand the timing details, and locate necessary items to minimize any disruptions to you. Most importantly, I ask what you are drinking to ensure you can fully engage with your friends and family.
Day events I advise staying until approximately an hour before the party is due to 'finish' or until the end to help with the pack up. Evening events I have found guests get to a point where they want to pour their own drink so that's when I know its time to leave.
Before leaving I change the bins, ensure there are clean glasses and everything is washed up and put away where possible, replenish the drinks and ensure food and the result of serving food is cleared away.
